Our Mission

Before any film is cast, financed, produced or distributed there must be a high quality screenplay.

The Los Angeles Screenplay Competition is run by industry veterans who produce feature films.

The Los Angeles Screenplay Competition is specifically looking for screenplays to produce and talented screenwriters to contract to write screenplays for production.

SUCCESS STORIES:

 

Mary Avila, the Third Place Winner of the Winter 2013 LA Screenplay Competition, is now working directly with Rafael Primorac to produce her film "The Unspoken."

 

Jesse Cilio, LA Screenplay Competition Finalist Winner (Winter 2013), is in talks with Rafael Primorac to have his film "The Sound of Violence" produced. 

 

Craig Stewart, the First Place Winner of the 2011 LA Screenplay Competition, is now working directly with Rafael Primorac on an action script slated for production, 2013. 

 

LA Screenplay Competition Finalist Winner, Talbot Perry Simons has just been recognized by the Guinness World Records®, as the world's most awarded individual filmmaker in all of filmmaking history!

The 2011 LA Screenplay Competition took place at the world famous Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA. The 2012 LA Screenplay Competition and the Winter 2013 LA Screenplay Competition took place at Confidential in Beverly Hills, CA. 

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

Before any film is cast, financed, produced or distributed, there must be a high quality screenplay. The Los Angeles Screenplay Competition is run by people who produce feature films. We are specifically looking for screenplays to produce and talented screenwriters to contract to write 

screenplays for production.

 

 

ABOUT THE PRESIDENT OF THE THE LOS ANGELES SCREENPLAY COMPETITION: 

President Rafael Primorac has produced many commercial and art house films with screenplays that he either developed or optioned from new writers giving them their first break into Hollywood films. All of his films have received worldwide distribution.

Mr. Primorac is responsible for bringing "Game of Death" starring Wesley Snipes, "Giallo" starring Adrien Brody, and "Mysteria," starring Danny Glover, Billy Zane, and Martin Landau from script to screen.

Mr. Primorac is always looking for new talented writers and he knows that everything starts with the script.

Primorac is now looking for his next screenplays to produce.
